The Results
Durango Septic was already ranking well for the exact match keyword “durango septic”. We dove into this strategy with the goal of keeping the current SEO, but improving overall reach in the region.
In addition to optimizing the website to establish better EEAT, we used geo-targeting service pages to increase online reach to the Bayfield, Cortez, Vallecito, and Ignacio areas.
In the first three months, clicks increased slightly and impressions more then tripled!

Primary keywords for the local areas, such as “ignacio septic pumping”, moved from position 19 to position 2! We were able to get Durango Septic ranking on page one for all regional keywords.
