Natures Oasis Market
This custom Squarespace website for Natures Oasis Market is a shining example of how the Squarespace platform can support a small business. Natures Oasis is a natural grocery store located in Durango, Colorado. They serve Southwest Colorado and the Four Corners region with local and organic produce, supplements, and more. They have a full-service deli and are home to Jack’s Meat Market, Serious Delights Bakery, and River Liquors.
Natures Oasis needed a website that their staff could quickly maintain on a daily basis. They wanted to be able to update fresh deli and grocery specials. We chose to build this website on Squarespace so we could deliver a robust website that the staff could easily edit without ongoing monthly fees.
On the front end, the branding included warm and neutral colors with textures and a full-width layout that avoided large chunks of unwelcoming white space.
The navigation and UX design was built to provide information to the visitor with minimal clicks. Most visitors coming to the website would be locals looking for daily specials, or tourists looking for hours and location. Therefore, we built this site with a variety of popup sections and a hover-based mega-menu that would allow visitors to quickly access information. Additionally, we included a custom secondary top navigation with their phone number and physical address.
On the back end, we integrated a global section for the grocery specials. This section would allow staff members to update the information just once, and then have those changes apply to multiple locations. As a small business owner, these time saving tasks can make a tremendous difference.
We also synced the deli specials and newsletter to an automated email marketing sequence. These separate automations (based on a list segmentation), would allow the content to fire without staff needing to manually create email campaigns.
The Natures Oasis website included with a separate mobile design, SEO optimization, Mailchimp integration, Google Analytics, Search Console, a complete resource page with personal instruction videos and links, and more.
