We will do a kickoff meeting to map out the customizations and talk about collecting content. I can get started on design updates while you work on sending me content (text, images, etc).

We will do a round of edits, I’ll go through my extensive pre-launch checklist, and then we’ll launch your site. Every site comes with access to dozens of tutorial videos, including custom training just for you!
What is a template?
Squarespace musician templates are pre-designed professional websites built on the Squarespace platform. I took a blank canvas and built out specific pages, features, and design elements that musicians need in a website.
These templates are ready to go! All we have to do is replace the current content with your own and you can go live.

If you are meeting me here for the first time, you are getting to know me as the Squarespace and SEO expert behind your new music website template.
Before getting into website design, I dabbled in marketing, graphic design, and website design to help promote my full-time music business. I used my website to get gigs, grow a large private studio, promote my music, and land my job as a professor of music at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.
I know how busy a musician’s schedule can be and I built these websites with YOU in mind. ♡

A website template is a professionally pre-designed website. All you have to do is replace the placeholder content with your own! This is a great alternative to a custom website if you are on a budget.
These music website templates are designed by a musician for musicians. The theory is that they will have more of the pages and elements you need.
By default no template will be 100% perfect, because they are templates and not custom website designs. However, if the template is a close fit, it will take less time to make it your own!

Yes, Squarespace is good for music. You can embed Bandcamp, Soundcloud, Bandsintown, audio files, Youtube video, Vimeo video, and more. Squarespace also has a calendar page, membership areas, e-commerce features, and just about anything a musician might need. Plus, the platform has extensive design and customization options that make it much more versatile then Bandzoogle or other CMS platforms.

Yes! SEO stands for "search engine optimization". It refers to the process of optimizing your website to rank on Google. Squarespace has many built-in SEO features that allows you to optimize your website in a way where it can rank well on Google.

Most other platforms are either too simple (such as GoDaddy), or way to complicated (such as WordPress). Squarespace offers the perfect balance! You can completely customize your music website without being limited or bogged down. Some music-specific platforms such as Bandzoolge can also be great for bands, but they don't offer as much design customization or added features such as a membership area, courses, and more.
Wix is a popular choice for musicians as well, but their themes are not responsive. This means the screen size does not adjust on desktop (your page will get cut off on smaller desktop screens!). Plus, they don't have the same development community as Squarespace.
Squarespace is great for all musicians, including educators, artists, singer/songwriters, composers, bands, small ensembles, and much more.

You can customize any template on Squarespace. No matter what template you start from, everything is built on the same 7.1 framework. This means your template doesn't need to be perfect. You can customize the content, add pages, delete pages, etc. All Squarespace features come built-in on every template.
